Job description

Business Development Manager – Challenger Alcohol Brand

Liverpool Area

  • £35,000–£42,000 base salary
  • Company car or £6,000 car allowance
  • 20% bonus

Who they are

Born from a passion for crafting great-tasting drinks and bringing people together, this independent, festival-inspired brand has been producing bold, naturally fruity ciders since the mid-1990s. Known for its innovative flavours and vibrant personality, the business blends traditional expertise with a modern, creative edge, bringing products to life that are as much about experience as they are about taste. With strong ties to the UK festival scene and a commitment to doing things differently, the company has built a loyal following by delivering high-quality, refreshing drinks that capture moments of fun, connection, and celebration.

This is a role with real autonomy. You will run the territory as your own business, building distribution, visibility, and long-term customer partnerships across the on-trade, wholesale, and convenience sectors. The brief is clear and commercially meaningful: grow presence, win new space, and make the brand unmissable where it matters. If you enjoy being out in the market, value trust over transaction, and want a role where performance is visible and rewarded, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning and growing the Northwest region with full accountability for distribution, visibility, and NSV.

• Building deep, credible relationships with IFT customers, wholesalers, and key regional operators.

• Winning new business while protecting and growing existing accounts against strong local competition.

• Executing seasonal and regional activation that drives the rate of sales and repeat orders.

What you’ll need to bring

• Proven regional sales experience within FMCG, ideally drinks or the licensed trade.

• Strong knowledge of the Northwest market and how its routes to market really work.

• A track record of opening doors, growing accounts, and influencing buyer and operator levels.

• Existing relationships within IFT and wholesale that you can leverage from day one.
