£50,000 – £60,000 + six-monthly performance bonus


We have partnered with an established and high-performing multi-site recruitment business and they are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to support its next phase of growth. Operating nationally with a strong presence in its specialist market, the business has ambitious plans to scale significantly over the next five years. As part of this growth, there is a strategic focus on strengthening the people function. This role has been created to drive performance, develop future leaders, and evolve into a Head of People position over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured training programmes for recruitment consultants
  • Manage onboarding and induction processes for new hires
  • Coach consultants from entry-level through to experienced performers
  • Deliver management and leadership development programmes
  • Partner with Directors and Managers to identify development needs
  • Develop competency frameworks, learning pathways, and training materials
  • Monitor training effectiveness and report on performance outcomes
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and career development initiatives
  • Contribute to the wider People strategy as the function evolves


Essential

  • 2–3 years’ experience working on a recruitment desk
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a Learning & Development or training role within recruitment
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills
  • Commercial understanding of recruitment performance and KPIs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A genuine passion for developing people and improving performance


Desirable

  • ILM Level 3 qualification (or above)
  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience building structured training programmes
  • Experience developing managers and future leaders
