Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Executive role based in Kings Langley. The Business Development Executive will identify and pursue new business opportunities, including researching prospects, qualifying leads, and managing a pipeline of potential clients. The role involves conducting outbound calls and meetings, preparing tailored proposals, and presenting SMA Worldwide’s logistics solutions to decision-makers. The person in this position will collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new accounts and high service standards. Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining accurate CRM records, monitoring market trends, and supporting account growth through regular follow-ups and relationship management. This job entails both Pallets services (WD & HP) and International Express Courier (Import/Export) with DG services for central London territory working with monthly, quarterly and annual targets to achieve
Qualifications
- Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with experience building and managing a sales pipeline.
- Effective business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand logistics solutions and customer requirements.
- Clear, confident communication skills, both written and verbal, for client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a related B2B environment is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using CRM and sales productivity tools to track activities, opportunities, and performance metrics.
- Self-motivated, target-driven approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
- Relevant education or training in business, sales, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with strong experience.
