We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy waste and recycling operation delivering essential environmental services across the local community.

The role involves operating refuse and recycling collection vehicles while working closely with a dedicated crew to deliver an efficient and reliable service. Waste and recycling collection is a key local authority service across the district.

• Driving HGV Class 2 refuse and recycling collection vehicles
• Completing designated collection routes safely and efficiently
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Working alongside collection crews to ensure rounds are completed on schedule
• Ensuring compliance with all road transport, health & safety, and environmental regulations
• Delivering a professional and courteous service to residents and businesses
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and reporting any issues encountered during collections

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and road transport regulations
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
