HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a busy and growing transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for local and regional work with the benefit of being home every day.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers across the local area, ensuring a professional and reliable service at all times.

The Role

• Completing local and regional deliveries
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Loading and unloading goods where required
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Following all Driver Hours and road transport regulations
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively

Desirable Experience

• Previous multidrop or pallet delivery experience
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
• Knowledge of the local road network
