Domestic Assistant

• Location: Worksop
• Job Type: Full-time, including weekends
• Hours: 8am - 4pm
• Hourly Rate: £13.45

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team in a residential care home setting. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and will contribute to maintaining a comfortable, safe, and hygienic environment for service users and other customers.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Follow cleaning schedules as instructed to maintain high standards and comply with infection control policies and procedures.
• Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are strictly followed, disinfecting and cleaning areas to the highest standards to reduce cross-contamination.
• Maintain personal presentation and hygiene to the highest standard when working within the care home.
• Safely store cleaning equipment and materials in line with COSSH regulations and health and safety policies.
• Report any defects immediately to higher management to ensure safety.
• Carry out additional reasonable instructions from the shift leader, Deputy, and Registered Manager, adapting to changes to meet the evolving needs of the service.
• Respect clients' privacy and adopt a person-centred approach at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Domestic Assistant in a similar setting.
• Ability to work flexibly and travel to various locations within the Borough.
• NQF Level 1 qualification (e.g., GCSEs Grades 3-1, NVQs Level 1, GNVQs Foundation, City and Guilds Part 1) or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
