We invest in our people through training, development opportunities and ongoing support.About the RoleReporting to the Service Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring customers receive high-quality, person-centred support.You will work closely with the management team to promote independence, choice and inclusion while helping to maintain a safe, compliant and effective service.Key responsibilities include:- Deputising for the Service Manager when required
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the service
- Acting as a positive role model and supporting colleagues on shift
- Building strong relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals
- Supporting customers to achieve their goals and access meaningful activities
- Organising events, activities and community outings
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and health and social care regulations
- Supporting quality assurance processes, audits and record management
- Assisting with staff training, supervision and development
- At least two years' experience working in the care sector is preferred
- Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable
- Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy or Supervisory role is advantageous
- A caring, compassionate and positive approach
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- The ability to remain flexible and adapt under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and confidence in completing audits and maintaining records
