Job description

Fundraising Manager – Church & Donor Engagement, Christian Charity – International Relief, London & South East c£45k (DOE) + benefits An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising & Supporter Engagement Manager to join this global Christian international relief charity as their representative covering London and the South East. As part of the wider Fundraising & Development team the successful candidate will take responsibility for serving existing and prospective supporters with excellence, helping cultivate missional seeds God has placed on their hearts by clearly communicating the full breadth of the charity's work and providing an opportunity to partner with them.
This is all underpinned by outstanding relationship‐building, networking, writing, organisational, and influencing skills and a passion for the Gospel, a missional heart, and a strong desire to drive the mission‐based ethos and direction of the organisation, holding true to it's mission and aims. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a mature Christian Faith as it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be a practising evangelical Christian (non‐denominational).
In your career to date you will be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience in fundraising, business development, relationship management, and/or pastoral care.
Demonstrable experience of building networks and generating income on a 'self‐starter' basis.
An influential negotiator with strong communication, presentation, networking, and relationship building skills, demonstrable across both cold and warm contacts.
Self‐motivated and action focused with excellent time management skills.
Demonstrable experience of project management and cross‐organisational working.
Experience in prayer ministry, with a strong understanding of the Bible and its teachings, including the principles of Biblical giving.
Excellent English writing and comprehension skills, IT Literacy (MS Office) and CRM experience.
The role has responsibility for a large geographical area and due to the specifics of the role and the areas that will need to be covered the ability to drive with a clean driver's licence and access to a car is ideal. However, in the case of disability, the organisation is willing to make reasonable adjustments if needed and use of alternative transport can be discussed. The role is a hybrid / home based with the need to be in the Midlands for 1 day fortnightly / monthly (dependent upon candidate location). There is a need for occasional weekend and evening meetings / presentations for which time off in lieu will be given.
