Job Overview
Ward 85 is advertising a 34.5 hour per week band 6 post. Ward 85 specialises in providing care for children and young people with Cardiac, CF, Respiratory, Metabolic, Immunology, Endocrine, Rheumatology and tertiary paediatrics.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Support and guide junior staff in the care process
Provide direct patient care and maintain detailed clinical knowledge of the specialist area
Assist the Ward Manager in ensuring high standards of quality of care within Ward 85
Act as a positive role model for staff, patients and carers
Deputise for the senior sister as required
Enable nurses to acquire clinical and professional competencies through education and staff development opportunities
