Job Description Job Title: Events Assistant Manager – B2B Marketing
Salary: £48,987 – £54,430 per annum
Location: London (25 Gresham Street)
Hours: Full-time – 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid – at least two days per week in office, may require outside standard hours and travel for events.
About this Role Our Business-to-Business Marketing team is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Events Assistant Manager to join the Marketing & Events team. You'll be joining an energetic, established team recognised across the Group for delivering best‐in‐class client experiences, from inception to completion.
What you'll be doing Manage a range of B2B events, taking full ownership of smaller‐scale events while supporting the delivery of larger, more complex events alongside senior team members.
Build effective relationships with internal and external business partners, clients, suppliers and colleagues.
Bring a proactive approach, using initiative and creative thinking to solve problems and overcome challenges.
Work across multiple events and business areas, maintaining quality and attention to detail in a fast‐paced, high‐performance environment.
Use time‐management and project coordination skills to prioritise competing demands and keep multiple workstreams on track.
Take ownership of key event elements, working independently where needed and with direction from the Events Managers, while collaborating closely with the wider team.
Manage event budgets and suppliers, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed costs and expectations.
Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring polished, professional experiences.
About you We look for candidates with the following essential skills:
Experience delivering corporate or commercial events (typically 4+ years), with exposure to events of varying scale.
Experience within financial or professional services and/or high‐profile events, especially in B2B sectors (beneficial but not essential).
Confident communicator, comfortable building relationships internally and externally.
Experience engaging senior partners, including C‐suite audiences, advantageous.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
Creative, with experience contributing ideas to event design, content or overall guest experience in a commercial or corporate setting.
A self‐starter, proactive and solutions‐focused, able to anticipate challenges and respond quickly to keep delivery on track.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with experience managing deliverables and budgets independently and using initiative to drive outcomes.
