Job Summary
To maintain accurate stock levels and ensure high-quality inventory control within the warehouse. This role involves operating VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) and other MHE (Material Handling Equipment) to manage stock movements and storage efficiently. The Stock Controller also supports warehouse performance by investigating system discrepancies, analysing data from Dexory robot dashboards, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive stock control support to the warehouse operations team.

Create, maintain, and edit documentation including paperwork, spreadsheets, and managing occupancy levels using inventory management systems.

Review and analyse data from Dexory robot dashboards to monitor stock positions and movement trends.

Report damaged or non-conforming stock and contribute to root cause analysis.

Support stock control improvement initiatives by assisting with warehouse projects such as space optimisation, layout changes, and audits.

Manage visitor, supplier, and contractor access and control files.

Forecast stock requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Conduct inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records.

Track shipments and address delays or discrepancies.

Maintain and update facility calendars and inform managers of activities.

Maintain Health & Safety and compliance documentation, ensuring all records are current and accurate.

Perform any other duties as requested by a manager that are commensurate with your role.

Key Skills, Requirements & Competencies

Proven experience within warehousing or logistics environments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong proofreading ability.

Valid licenses for VNA and relevant MHE (e.g., reach truck, counterbalance).

Familiarity with Dexory or other warehouse automation tools is a strong advantage.

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.

Professional demeanor with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Strong internal customer service skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Able to work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organisation.

Demonstrated team player with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.

Proficient with a variety of software packages.
