SEN Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduates Required)
Wantage – Primary and Secondary SEMH School, an outstanding co‐educational Special School in Wantage, is recruiting full‐time Specialist TA's.
Responsibilities:
Support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties and complex learning needs.
Work in partnership with external professionals such as educational and occupational psychologists, counsellors, and speech and language therapists.
Assist with the breadth of the curriculum, extra‐curricular activities and therapies, following a personalised approach to each child's needs.
Shadow professionals to observe and gain experience of therapeutic and educational support practices.
Qualifications:
Recent Psychology graduate or relevant background.
Understanding of autism, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, and communication needs.
Passionate, resilient, and enthusiastic about supporting children with SEMH challenges.
Work Details:
Full‐time Monday‐Friday, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.
Start date: ASAP.
Pay: £85‐£105 per day.
