This is a varied and development-focused opportunity combining sales, design, and estimating responsibilities within a technical environment.
The position is ideal for someone looking to build a long term career, with structured training provided and the opportunity to progress into a fully qualified estimator/designer role.
Key Responsibilities Design Support early engagement with architects and contractors, providing technical input and design guidance.
Assist in preparing drawings and technical submissions (CAD training provided).
Contribute to ensuring design solutions are technically accurate and commercially viable.
Participate in ongoing design training to build competence in technical detailing and system understanding.
Estimating Work as part of a team to prepare tenders and project proposals, progressing to independent delivery over time.
Measure and interpret drawings to support pricing and project submissions.
Compile labour, material, and subcontractor pricing once trained.
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project handover.
Attend regular meetings related to estimating, sales, and project handovers.
Assist with supplier negotiations and pricing agreements.
Support ongoing project requirements, including variations and additional pricing.
Sales Engage with prospective and existing clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Follow up leads and support business development activities using CRM and lead-generation tools.
Research new systems, products, and market opportunities.
Track and update project progress and pipeline activity.
Visit sites to build relationships and gain practical project understanding.
Contribute toward achieving overall business revenue targets.
Additional Duties Support wider team operations during busy periods or staff absence.
Assist with project or contract-related tasks when required.
Ensure clear and timely communication across teams.

Interest in or knowledge of the construction industry (desirable)
