UK Statutory Reporting Manager

Job description

This is your chance to be part of Hilton's Consolidations, External Reporting and Technical Accounting function that plays a critical role delivering high-quality external financial reporting while safeguarding Hilton's financial integrity and regulatory standing.

The UK Statutory Reporting and Accounting team is responsible for UK statutory reporting across Hilton's international business, including preparation of all UK statutory accounts for audit, development of technical accounting judgments and estimates and compliance over other statutory requirements.

Hilton has over 50 companies registered in the UK that between them report the results of UK leased hotels and international managed and franchised hotels. The team are responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of UK statutory accounts and related regulatory filings, ensuring full compliance with FRS101 and Companies Act requirements and meeting the filing deadline at Companies House. The team is also a critical business partner throughout the Finance organization, partnering closely with Tax, Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis teams.

The UK Statutory Reporting Manager plays a key role in the project management of the audit, conducted over a 7 month period, as well as preparing workings to support the statutory accounts and their disclosures.

The role reports to the Manager UK Statutory Reporting & Accounting and acts as the key liaison with auditors and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
What will I be doing?

Act as project manager and key point of contact for external auditors, year end timetable planning, managing the year end statutory audit process and resolving technical accounting queries efficiently.

Contribute to ad hoc reporting requirements and regulatory projects.

Preparation, review, and submission of UK statutory financial statements and supporting schedules for statutory entities in accordance with FRS 101.

Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and disclosure requirements, including Companies Act filings and audit deadlines.

Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, new accounting standards, and changes in regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, tax, and operational teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of statutory data.

Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, controls, and documentation to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

A member of recognized accounting body ACA, ACCA or equivalent

Relevant level of work experience in audit or accounting

Experience of audit in a Big 4, Top 20 or mid-tier accountancy firm, or within industry in a complex multi-entity or group structure

Solid understanding of accounting principles and FRS 101

Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behaviour and absolute discretion with sensitive information

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight statutory deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing with senior stakeholders and external auditors

Proven ability to deal with large volumes of data in multiple currencies

Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Strong problem-solving skills including ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problems

Ability to exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, quantitative & qualitative analytical skills, and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions

Ability to work with limited supervision, using own initiative with 'can-do' approach, thriving under pressure in a fast‐paced environment, being able to handle multiple demands and appropriately prioritise responsibilities

Strong interpersonal skills and able to maintain effective working relationships with co‐workers, managers and stakeholders
