Job description
JSS Finance are exclusively supporting a leading hospitality business who are looking for an Interim Senior Statutory Technical Accountant to join their team on an initial 12-month FTC.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and execute the full cycle of statutory audits, from initial planning through to completion and sign-off in accordance with FRS 102
Oversee or prepare annual and consolidated financial statements and supporting documentation for review by the audit committee and external auditors
Stay updated on new and changing laws/regulations and assess their impact on the business
Training finance teams and sharing best practices, identifying and implementing improvements around systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reporting quality
Provide answers and technical memos to queries from external auditors in connection with the Project work
Liaise with tax and other specialist teams to ensure the statutory accounts provide information required for other dependencies of these financials
Assist in special one-off projects as needed.
Key Skills/Experience
Must be a professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
Advanced excel skills
Strong technical accounting knowledge in UK GAAP and IFRS
Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, problem-solving skills and capacity to work independently to meet
Experience in technical accounting papers and financial reporting
