SEN Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive school in Camden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive impact within education.

The Role -As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Assist students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, and learning difficulties
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Help manage behaviour positively and encourage student engagement
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Encourage students social, emotional, and academic development
The Ideal Candidate -The school is looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Can adapt to different learning needs and classroom environments
  • Holds a degree or relevant childcare/support qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Is passionate about education and supporting vulnerable learners
