What will a day in the life of a Assistant Shop Manager involve?
- T aking ownership of visual merchandising and stock presentation, ensuring the shop always looks fresh, inviting, and aligned with the latest campaigns.
- Using your commercial awareness to spot opportunities, drive sales, and maximise income from donations and stock.
- Building strong relationships within the local community, helping to grow support, donations, and footfall.
- Supporting day-to-day shop operations including stock management, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety and operational standards.
- Confidence and being proactive to step up, take initiative, and support the day-to-day running of the shop.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and keep the shop running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, resilient attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace the challenges of a busy retail setting.
- To be a team player who leads by example, motivates others, and contributes to a supportive, inclusive shop culture.
