We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team on a large civil engineering project, the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) project.EGL2 project is a JV with Hitachi Energy (HEBAM) and 5-year project which will see the creation of a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead in Scotland to Drax in England. This will be the longest HVDC Cable in the UK and the UKs single largest transmission project ever, providing enough power for 2 million UK homes.Your team BAM operates a flexible working policyThis is a site based role at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.Making Possible As a Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:Co-ordination of Temporary Works between our site teams and designersPreparation of TW design briefs in conjunction with site teams and issue to the projects Temporary Works Design teams and management of that submission processManagement of Temporary Works through the full design preparation and checking processes in accordance with appropriate procedures and client requirementsManage Temporary Works designs through their full life-cycle, implementation, use and dismantlingMaintain Temporary Works RegisterLiaise with different design houses simultaneouslyEnsure the implementation of these Temporary Works on site is in accordance with the approved and checked design detailsEnsure Temporary Works Inspections are carried out by TWSIssue of TW Permits to Load and Permit to UnloadDemonstrate a personal commitment to the projects Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and management system requirements and expectationsDevelop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risksUnderstand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilitiesManage and coordinate Temporary Works SupervisorsComply with commercial processesEnsure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Joint Venture policies and processesProvide practical support and mentoring to less experienced members of the temporary works team.What do you bring to the role? Degree qualification in civil engineering equivalent is desirable one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, MEng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher ApprenticeshipWe will consider personnel working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE, CIOB,or other appropriate professional bodyExperience of overseeing a broad range of reinforced concrete, formwork and falsework, excavations, cofferdams, steelwork erection Temporary Works schemes, preferably as a TWC or TWSIdeally experience in design and/or engineering managementWorking knowledge of Temporary Works management proceduresExperience in the delivery of major infrastructure projectsAwareness of commercial processesKnowledge or experience of structural steel building buildings would be usefulWhats in it for you?
