SEN Teaching Assistant

Were looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary school in Barking and Dagenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference by supporting children with additional needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

What youll be doing

• Supporting children with SEND within the mainstream classroom, helping to access learning and thrive both in and out of the classroom.
• Helping to adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development.
• Building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

What were looking for

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
• Experience working with EYFS, Key Stage 1 or 2.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
• Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
