Our client is a well-respected independent timber & builders merchant. Due to their continued success and expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity as we are recruiting a Forklift Driver / Yard Operative to join their existing team.The key responsibilities of this role include:To be the first point of contact for customers arriving at the branchEnsuring that the yard is kept tidy and health & safety is adhered to at all timesEnsuring goods are checked, accounted for and loaded on correctlyProvide good customer service and good advice on products for their customersAssist with the the unloading and loading of deliveries using a forkliftThe ideal candidate would need to have a good knowledge of timber and building materials and have previous yard experience or maybe from a warehouse or labouring background.
