About the Role Our client, a well-established builders merchant, is looking to recruit a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join their branch team. This is a varied role involving both face-to-face customer service and telephone sales support. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting trade and retail customers and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

Salary : Up to £33,000 DOE Hours: Monday - Friday + Alternate Saturday mornings Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in branch in a professional and friendly mannerHandle customer enquiries and sales over the phoneProvide product advice and recommend suitable materials and solutionsProcess sales orders, quotations, and payments accuratelyMaintain strong product knowledge across building materials and suppliesSupport stock control and merchandising within the branchAssist with loading/unloading customer orders where requiredBuild positive relationships with new and existing customersWork closely with colleagues to ensure excellent branch operationsRequirements Previous experience in a customer service or sales roleExperience within a builders merchant or construction-related environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfident dealing with customers both in person and over the phoneGood organisational skills and attention to detailA positive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work effectively as part of a teamIf you are enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working with customers, we would love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
