Job description
About the role...
Let's be real...
Most wealth firms talk about products, performance and portfolios. We don't.
At Cooper Parry Wealth, we believe the industry's got it wrong. It's too transactional, too complicated, and too far removed from what actually matters to people. So we've flipped it. We focus on people first.
We help our clients figure out what they really want from life, and then build a plan to get them there.
No jargon. No ego. No "traditional wealth manager" stereotype. And now, we're looking for a Junior/Trainee Relationship Manager to join us and start building a career that actually means something. You'll be based in our London office with occasional travel to Tunbridge Wells.
This isn't a sit-back-and-watch role. You'll be right in the mix; learning fast, getting stuck in, and building the foundations of a brilliant career in wealth.
What you'll be doing:
Initially supporting Relationship Managers & Directors in managing and growing client relationships
Complete our T&C program so you can have your own client bank in 12 months
Help deliver genuinely meaningful advice, not just paperwork and process
Get to know clients as people: what drives them, what worries them, what success looks like
Build relationships across the wider business to spot opportunities and add value
Start developing your own network and confidence with clients
Learn how to turn great conversations into long-term, trusted relationships
You won't be expected to know everything. But you will be expected to show up, get involved, and grow fast.
About you...
We are looking for someone who is strong at relationship building and can communicate with confidence. We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and not afraid to ask questions.
You'll need to bring energy, drive and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. But most importantly, you'll need to care about doing the right thing – even when it's not the easiest option.
You could be a Paraplanner looking for your next step, or a Relationship Manager/Financial Planner in the wrong seat looking to kick on with a great opportunity.
We want people who:
Are Chartered Financial Planners or Certified Financial Planning professionals with experience in high-net-worth holistic financial planning (we would consider candidates close to achieving these qualifications)
Keen to progress their career, working with new and existing clients
Have a passion for getting to know what clients really value, want to achieve and what keeps them up at night
A team player, who wants to be part of something big for the future
About us...
Cooper Parry Wealth are one of the largest 'proper' financial planning firms in the UK, and we're proud of what we have built so far. And we have big ambitions in the future!
We don't do cookie-cutter advice. We don't hide behind jargon. We put people first, speak plainly, and focus on what makes a difference.
We're part of the Cooper Parry Group which also offers accountancy and digital services. This provides the perfect environment to support us and differentiate the services we can offer to clients.
What's in it for you?
Our people are the beating heart of our culture. We know that if you love working here, and you're given the trust and autonomy to work in a way that best suits you, you'll produce amazing results.
That's why we offer things like:
A flexible approach to work - balancing working from home, in office or with clients
Support with career growth and qualifications
A generous holiday entitlement
An enhanced parental leave policy
An enhanced pension scheme
No dress code – just "wear something!"
A multi-award-winning wellbeing offering to support your physical, mental, spiritual, and financial health
Volunteering opportunities to work closer with local communities and charities
Cooper Parry social/sports clubs
Feeling supported and welcomed is such a big part of bringing your whole self to work. As an equal opportunities employer, we'll work with you to ensure you have everything you need to develop your skills and achieve your best.
Get in touch if you have any questions about our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion or about accessibility/accommodations during your application process.
