Apprentice Accountant

Job description

As an Accounting Apprentice, you will be trained on and gain hands‐on experience across multiple areas of finance including general ledger management, financial reporting, project costing, compliance, and month‐end processes.

This is an excellent entry‐level opportunity for someone pursuing a career in accounting within a technology‐focused and fast‐paced industry and a desire to start a career in finance.

Day‐To‐Day Responsibilities

General Ledger & Month‐End Support

Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate GL accounts

Support the month‐end and year‐end closing process

Assist with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports

Support project/job costing analysis for AV installations and service contracts

Provide support with variance analysis and management reporting

Compliance & Audit

Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Administrative & Ad Hoc Support

Maintain financial files and documentation

Assist with continuous improvement of finance systems and procedures

Provide general support to the Finance team as needed

Skills & Qualifications

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
