Flow Controller - Night Shift

Location: Derby - DE74 2BB

We are looking for a Warehouse Flow Controller to join our fast-paced, highly automated operation at our East Midlands Gateway site.

This role sits at the heart of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth flow of operations and quick resolution of any system or automation issues, helping us deliver excellent service to our customers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLV

Monitor automated warehouse systems, proactively identifying issues and escalating faults directly to engineering teams while communicating impacts and expected downtime to management

Coordinate daily warehouse flow, including outbound operations, load allocation, and ensuring efficient movement of stock through the site

Track and report outstanding orders, supporting operational visibility and ensuring timely dispatch performance

Communicate planned maintenance activities and operational updates to relevant stakeholders across the site

Manage a high volume of administrative and system-based tasks, including responding to emails and liaising closely with warehouse teams to maintain smooth operations

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Have experience in a warehouse administration or operational support role within a fast-paced environment

Have worked with or overseen warehouse automation systems and understand automated workflows

Are highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a systems-driven role

Are customer-focused and able to prioritise service levels in a constantly changing environment

Have experience using warehouse systems (ideally Blue Yonder and Matflo ) and possess strong communication skills to liaise with teams, engineers, and management
