Job description
We are Graceful Monkey, a London-based creative production studio with big ideas, a big heart, and the range of skills and experience to make almost anything happen.
Some of the world's biggest companies (Nike, Puma, Google, Novartis) trust us with their brand family jewels. We make it happen, and our clients love what we do, but we want more.
We need an optimist, a straight-talker and a "make-it-happen-er": someone with established contacts and the desire to expand their network. We need to build bridges to decision-makers: the key stakeholders with problems, ideas and ambition. We need you to help lay the foundations for us to build on.
You need to be ambitious, autonomous and honest. Someone with brilliant ideas on how to get our name in front of the right people, and the knowhow on when and how to do it. You need to be organised. You need to be persistent (but not pushy). Most importantly, you need to be trustworthy. We'll be relying on you to build the pipeline that fuels our next chapter. This is a role you can shape; you'll be responsible for elevating our revenue, status and visibility.
We have big ideas and large ambitions, and we don't allow ourselves to be limited by anything. Ever. So we need someone who can match our passion and energy, someone who wants a real opportunity to expand without being shackled.
The Role
Direct to Brand (D2B) Sales
- Identifying and targeting brand-side prospects directly: in-house marketing, creative and content teams
- Building and owning a pipeline of D2B leads across key sectors, including healthcare, sport and emerging tech industries
- Pitching Graceful Monkey's services confidently and with conviction: in person, over the phone and on a deck
- Reconnecting with dormant brand contacts and finding new routes into existing client organisations
- Attending industry events and conferences to represent the brand and build genuine relationships
- Facilitating referrals and making word-of-mouth work hard for us
Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Overseeing targeted outreach campaigns to key brand-side decision-makers
- Overseeing or advising on our social channels to keep us active, relevant and growing
- Staying across the industry groups, lists and platforms where our next client might be looking
- Working with the team to identify new sectors where our "simplify the complex" approach is a natural fit
Pipeline & Process
- Building a repeatable, consistent sales process, not just chasing the next brief
- Managing and automating our CRM process, and keeping the team informed on pipeline status
- Collaborating with production and creative leadership to ensure pitches are sharp and proposals land well
- Feeding market intelligence back into the business: what brands need, what's shifting, and where the opportunities are
Your Story
- A genuine network of brand-side contacts, and the hunger and skill to expand it
- Solid experience in business development, account management or client liaison, ideally developing services or solutions, with a bonus if they're creatively based
- A great communicator and team player (fluent English is essential)
- A desire for genuine growth: through helping and solving, not selling quick and dirty
- Positive, authentic and articulate: people buy into personality and honesty
- Friendly, candid and reliable: clients return when they know we don't let them down or BS them to get a sale
- You back yourself, and your team
- An interest in (or knowledge of) CG, VR/AR, interactive or live events is a real advantage
- Social media savvy: you know how to use LinkedIn to build networks, rather than as a spam machine to "pitch-slap" people
- An always-on mindset: ready to act fast when the moment calls for it
- We're open to part-time working (careers don't have to be limited by family commitments)
Our Backstage
- We're based in London E10
- An open and collaborative work ethic
- Base salary + a strong commission structure based on revenue and repeat business
- A performance-led bonus
- Flexible working after probation (minimum 3 days a week in the office)
- 31 holiday days per year (inc. Public holidays) + your birthday off
Every great opportunity starts with a conversation, so please get in touch and we can talk.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be eligible to work in the UK. No agencies, thank you.
