Employee Communications & Engagement Manager - 2 year FTC
Theale, Berkshire (3 days/week in the office)
Are you the person everyone turns to when the message really matters?
We're looking for an exceptional Employee Communications & Engagement Manager to shape how a business communicates with its people. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands that great internal communications are about far more than writing emails—they're about creating clarity, building trust and bringing strategy to life.
You'll be the driving force behind internal communications, working with senior leaders to develop compelling messaging, deliver engaging company-wide events and ensure employees remain informed, inspired and connected.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and delivering an engaging internal communications strategy.
- Partnering with senior leaders to create authentic, impactful communications.
- Writing speeches, presentations, leadership updates and company-wide announcements.
- Owning the narrative around business priorities, change programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Planning and delivering major internal events—from company updates and town halls to recognition programmes and engagement activities—ensuring every detail is considered.
- Managing communication channels including intranet, newsletters, video content and campaigns.
- Supporting organisational change through thoughtful, well-planned communications that resonate with employees.
- Measuring engagement and continuously improving communication effectiveness.
What we are looking for:
- Has significant experience in internal communications and employee engagement.
- Is an exceptional writer and storyteller, able to adapt messaging for different audiences and senior stakeholders.
- Strong experience arranging major events.
- Has experience supporting executive leadership with speeches, presentations and strategic communications.
- Can confidently manage complex projects and high-profile internal events from concept through to delivery.
- Understands how communication lands across an organisation and knows how to choose the right message, tone and channel.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Builds trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and acts as a valued communications adviser.
