Our PLC-basedcontrol systems are deployed nationwide, from high-streetretail sites to large-scale data centres and complex energyinfrastructure projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking a JuniorControl Panel Technician to support the build, test, install andcommission our PLC-based smart grid control systems across theUK.

Full training will beprovided on our proprietary control systems. Good foundationalknowledge in electrical engineering, electrical installation,panel wiring or a related technical discipline is more importantthan prior PLC programming experience.

You will work alongsideexperienced panel builders, automation engineers, controlengineers and project engineers, developing the practical andtechnical skills required to become a well-rounded technicianand a key part of the company's growth.

This role offers aclear development pathway, with structured training and supportto help the successful candidate grow their technical capabilityacross electrical panel build, testing, site installation,commissioning and smart grid control systems.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Wire control panelsfrom electrical schematics and layout drawings
  • Carry out theinspection and testing of control panels
  • Support theinstallation, testing and commission grid control,protection and automation systems
  • Producecommissioning records, test certificates and as-builtdocumentation, with support from the wider engineering team
  • Ensure all workscomply with RAMS, CDM requirements and company procedures
  • Some travel tocustomer sites across the UK (typically ~2 overnight staysper month)

Requirements

EssentialQualifications & Certifications

  • Level 3qualification in Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to read andinterpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strongorganisational and communication skills
  • Ability to managemultiple tasks and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive attitudewith a willingness to learn and develop
  • Full driving licence
