By joining our dynamic Private Client tax team, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of individuals, including internationally mobile clients, non-UK residents, and high-net-worth (HNW) individuals. You will play a key role in advising on cross-border tax matters, helping clients navigate complex areas such as residency, overseas income, and offshore assets.

What you'll be doing day to day
Managing a portfolio of private clients, including HNW individuals, internationally mobile individuals, and some trusts
Drafting reports and advice covering areas such as residence and domicile, remittance basis, and international tax planning
Advising clients on the tax treatment of overseas income and gains, including foreign investments and property
Supporting clients with double tax relief and cross-border tax considerations
Undertaking CGT advice on property, shares, and other assets for both UK resident and non-UK resident individuals
Providing guidance on offshore income, disclosures, and reporting requirements
Meeting with clients to understand and advise on their tax planning needs, including international aspects
Reviewing the work of more junior staff and contributing to their professional development
Providing and managing compliance services, including the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns with international elements
Requesting, collating, and maintaining client information, particularly relating to overseas income and assets
Maintaining direct contact with clients, HMRC, and other professional advisers to deliver an excellent client service
Identifying opportunities to support clients further, including collaboration with other teams such as financial planning
About you
Previous experience in a personal tax compliance and advisory role, with exposure to international/private client matters
ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with strong and up-to-date technical knowledge
Good understanding of residence, domicile, and cross-border tax issues affecting individuals
Experience preparing or reviewing returns involving foreign income, gains, or offshore matters
Understanding of compliance standards imposed by relevant regulatory authorities
Organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Professional and discreet, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
