HGV Class 1 Flat Bed Driver – Wigan

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Flat bed Driver to join our well-established client based in Wigan, Greater ManchesterThis is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.

This position is ideal for candidates seeking roles as an HGV 1 Driver, Category C Driver, or Truck Driver.

\n

Shifts:

\n

\n
• Monday - Friday

\n

• AM starts between 05:00 – 07:00

\n\n

Rates of Pay:

\n

\n
• £18.00 per hour

\n\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

\n

As a HGV Class 1 Flat-bed Driver, your day-to-day duties will include:

\n

\n
• Monday to Friday working

\n

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently

\n

• Completing 6–7 flat bed deliveries across the Northwest

\n

• Ensuring all loads are safely and correctly strapped

\n

• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries

\n

• Addressing any customer concerns and reporting them promptly to your line manager

\n\n

Essential Skills:

\n

The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Flat-bed Driver are:

\n

\n
• A minimum of 12 month's experience as a Category CE Driver

\n

• Valid UK Category CE driving licence

\n

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

\n

• No more than six penalty points for minor offences \n (no DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99)

\n

• No major endorsements

\n

• Strong customer service skills

\n\n

Desirable Experience:

\n

\n
• Previous flat bed HGV 1 driver experience

\n\n

Training Provided:

\n

\n
• First-day assessment followed by training alongside a permanent staff member

\n

• Industry-related training and ongoing support

\n\n
