HGV Class 2 Driver – Full Time
We are seeking a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client's team based in the Hatfield area. This full-time position involves daytime deliveries and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers seeking stable employment with a reputable company that provides outstanding benefits to its full-time staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually deliver goods to a variety of destinations, including stores, residential addresses, and construction sites.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of the vehicle as required.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrate flexibility and dedication to completing assigned routes efficiently and safely.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 12 months' recent experience driving an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
- Valid UK Driving Licence, full CPC qualification, and a DIGI tachograph card.
- Capability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable demeanour.
- No more than six penalty points on licence; endorsements such as DR, DD, or IN are not accepted.
- Possession of appropriate PPE, including high-visibility clothing and safety boots.
Employment Details & Remuneration
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 07:30, totalling 47.5 hours per week; no weekend work.
- Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
- Free on-site parking available.
- Location: Hatfield.
- Contract: Permanent, full-time position.
