HGV Class 2 Driver – Dustcart / Refuse Driver – Stevenage

Got People are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join our client's team based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

This position involves operating a Class 2 dustcart vehicle on scheduled refuse collection routes and providing support to loaders when necessary. It is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Class 2 driver looking to progress their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a HGV Class 2 dustcart / refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently
• Complete planned waste and recycling collection routes accurately
• Assist loaders as required to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations throughout the workday

Driver Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months recent HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving experience
• Experience in dustcart or refuse collection is highly desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence (Category C)
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Possession of a Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points on licence (excluding DR or IN endorsements)
• Willingness and ability to assist with loading duties when required
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to high standards

Pay & Details

• Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour (PAYE / Umbrella)
• Additional Saturday uplift opportunities available
• Start time: 06:00 AM
• Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
• Additional weekend work offered during bank holiday catch-up rounds
