Award-winning Multi-National Tier 1 Contractor is seeking a driven, and ambitious individual to join their Technical Service Team at the Head Office in Swindon. The company has offices across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, employing over 55,000 people with a turnover of £25bn per annum.
The successful candidate will be:
Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering / HND
Have a minimum of 24 months design experience in a similar role on projects including Rail, Highways, or Major structures
Demonstrate proactive improvements and alternative solutions using efficient and cost-effective measures
Possess knowledge of various forms of Temporary Works, project programming, and Civil Engineering construction such as reinforced structures and earthworks
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the process, resolution, and communication of all design queries within the project
Produce and check temporary works designs as required
Develop design risk assessments and method statements
Review suppliers' risk assessments and method statements
Explain works preparations to project management
Raise requests for further information
Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors for additional information
Specify and monitor temporary works schemes
Produce outline Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Ensure high standards of work production with robust checking procedures
