Our Client a Chambers ranked Band 1 firm is seeking a talented Litigation Associate (2+ PQE) to join its market-leading disputes practice in London.

This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, and cross-border disputes for leading financial institutions, multinational corporations, and sovereign clients. The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team handling matters before the High Court and other major dispute resolution forums.



Key Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction with the ability to practise in England & Wales.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in commercial litigation, banking litigation, civil fraud, or a related disputes practice.
  • Fluent Portuguese language skills (written and spoken), with the ability to review documents, communicate with clients and witnesses, and work effectively on matters involving Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions.
  • Strong experience in High Court litigation, including familiarity with:
  • Statements of case
  • Disclosure exercises
  • Witness statements
  • Expert evidence
  • Interim applications
  • Trial preparation
  • Experience managing large-scale document reviews and coordinating with international counsel.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and project management skills.


Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on complex commercial and cross-border disputes.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications, and other court documents.
  • Managing disclosure and evidence-gathering exercises.
  • Coordinating with clients, counsel, experts, and overseas lawyers.
  • Assisting with strategic case management and trial preparation.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing client advice on substantive and procedural issues.
  • Supporting partners and senior associates on high-value, business-critical litigation.
