Barclay Simpson have been engaged by a longstanding financial services client to find a Leveraged Finance lawyer of around 2-5 PQE who is interested in making the move in-house.

Having placed the most recent hire into this team I would be well placed to advise and coach candidates through the process in order to secure the best possible offer.

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded specialist who can support a busy Leveraged Finance platform by drafting and negotiating complex financing documentation, advising on structural and execution risks, managing amendments and waivers, overseeing compliance processes, and acting as an internal expert on market terms across European and U.S. Leveraged and crossover finance.

The ideal candidate will work seamlessly with Origination, Capital Markets and Asset Management teams, help deliver a full-service offering to Financial Sponsors, and contribute to training, know‑how development and strong external counsel relationships within a collaborative, high‑performance team.

Realistically at this level candidates will most likely be coming from a strong private practice Leveraged Finance team but I am also happy to consider competent lawyers who are already in-house.
