Junior Buyer

Angel & Rocket is a passionate childrenswear retailer based in High Wycombe looking to grow its Buying team. We are a small business with a fun culture and big plans! We are growing quicky and work with many well-known partners including Next and John Lewis, and have ambitious growth plans for the future.

The role is a full time role and candidates must be operating at the Junior Buyer level in a fashion retail environment with a minimum of a year’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating costs and delivery dates to achieve targets.
• Work closely with designers, merchandisers and technical to drive product development that delivers on targets.
• End to end critical path management, ensuring all key dates are met from development to delivery.
• Work closely with merchandiser to make strategic range-building decisions to maximise commercial potential.
• Trade analysis reviewing and presenting best-sellers, identifying opportunities to maximise sales and profit.
• Build and manage partner relationships to ensure A&R performs on all channels.
• Support Buying Team with cross-divisional activities and deadlines.

The Person

• Ideally a current Junior Buyer and preferably with childrenswear experience
• Excellent communication and organisation
• Experience using Excel
• Strong commercial awareness, a keen interest in product and trends
• Decisive and with effective problem-solving skills
• Creative with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and manage work to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced office
• Be a team player, understanding priorities of other departments
