General Manager

Autocut Robotic Mowing is looking for a General Manager

Job description

About Autocut

Autocut is the UK's leading specialist dealer in autonomous mowing solutions and a trusted partner of some of the country's most prestigious customers. As part of the Husqvarna Group, Autocut operates with its own distinct identity, entrepreneurial culture, and operational independence while benefiting from the strength and global reputation of one of the world's most recognised outdoor power equipment manufacturers.

As demand for autonomous solutions continues to accelerate, Autocut has ambitious plans to expand its market presence, customer base, and commercial performance over the next five years. This creates an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute and operationally focused General Manager to lead a market leading business and shape its future success.

Husqvarna Group is proud to be recognised as one of Europe's Best Employers 2026 by the Financial Times and Statista, ranking 36th out of 1,000 companies and as the second-highest ranked Swedish company.

Your Role at Autocut

The General Manager will have full accountability for the overall performance of the business, leading all operational, commercial, and people-related activities. This role requires a strategic and visionary leader who can balance long-term business planning with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations, while anticipating market trends, identifying emerging opportunities, and translating these insights into compelling customer propositions and service offerings.

The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and employee engagement while ensuring the business remains aligned with Husqvarna Group standards and objectives. They will take a holistic view of the business, developing and executing a clear roadmap for sustainable growth, leveraging strong commercial acumen, financial insight, and a deep understanding of market and channel dynamics. The ability to maximise growth opportunities while effectively managing channel relationships and minimising channel conflict will be essential.

As the senior leader on site, the General Manager will act as the face of the business, building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, and key stakeholders. They will champion innovation, lead the development of new service propositions and revenue streams, and ensure the business continues to strengthen its position as the market leader in autonomous mowing solutions.

The General Manager will work in a hybrid capacity, dividing time between the Autocut site, customer locations, and home working. Regular travel across the UK, from Devon to the North East, will be required to support customers, employees, and key stakeholders.
