HGV Driver

Job description

WPRG is recruiting for a Class 1 driver to work on an ongoing basis for it's client based in Leyton, E10.

This role involves delivering baked goods to retail stores, unloading trays and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Experience with double deck trailers is essential.

The suitable candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience
• experience with double deck trailers
• maximum of 6 points on licence for minor offences (No DD/DR/IN/CD codes)
• good communication skills
• good knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive

Weekly Hours:

• Start times are between 04:00am - 09:00am but you must be flexible to start between these hours.
• You must be able to work on weekends
• Average 10-12 hours each shift
• Breaks are paid on all shifts.

You must fulfil the following for this HGV Class 1 position:

• Valid UK C+E, HGV 1, Class 1 licence.
• UK Digital Tachograph Card.
• Full UK CPC card (driver qualification card).
• Full UK Licence ( 6 points acceptable, No DR10 or IN10).
• 25yrs +
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience
• Experience with double deck trailers
• Basic/General understanding of English

Pay Rates- PAYE:

Option 1 - Accrue holiday in addition to the basic hourly rate - £19.22Holiday is accrued on top at 13%
