HGV Class 1 Driver – Huntingdon - Good Rates of Pay - Ongoing Regular Work - Five Days Per Week - Long Shifts

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, no handball work, ongoing full-time hours, and immediate starts available.

This role will suit candidates who have worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Truck Driver, or Commercial Driver.

Shift Pattern:

 • 7-day operation – various shift patterns available
• 12:00 – 16:00 or 21:00 – 01:00 start times available
• Long shifts available to maximise earnings

Pay Rates:

 • £18.50 per hour between 05:00 – 20:00
• £20.00 per hour between 20:00 – 05:00
• £22.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will be:

 • RDC deliveries and collections
• No handball required
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
• Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Adhering to all road traffic laws and company procedures

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

 • A valid UK Category CE / Class 1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of twelve months' CE / Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience:

 • Previous RDC delivery experience
• Double deck trailer experience

Training Provided:

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
