We're recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a welcoming 5-bed children's home in Stockport, supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and additional complex needs.

About the RoleAs a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll lead shifts, mentor Residential Support Workers and help create a safe, nurturing and positive environment where children can thrive.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you'll ensure high standards of care are maintained while supporting children to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities? Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.? Deliver high-quality, child-centred care and support.? Support children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and complex needs.? Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.? Act as a Key Worker and contribute to care planning.? Complete daily records, risk assessments and incident reports.? Administer medication in line with company policies and procedures.? Mentor and support Residential Support Workers.? Build positive relationships with families and external professionals.? Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards.
Essential Requirements? Minimum 6 months' experience supporting vulnerable children and young people within a residential setting.? Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or currently working towards the qualification.? Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or complex needs.? Good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and Ofsted regulations.? Excellent communication and leadership skills.? Full UK Driving Licence (essential).? Flexible to work a rota including days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and bank holidays.
