Job description
My client is a well-established and highly respected consultancy operating across the built and natural environment. They are currently experiencing a sustained period of growth, with a strong pipeline of work across infrastructure, water, transport, aviation, and energy sectors.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing role offering the opportunity to lead and shape environmental delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Preparing and reviewing Environmental Statements and associated documentation
- Managing multidisciplinary project teams and technical inputsActing as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Supporting business development, bids, and client growth
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
You will work across a range of sectors, including:
- Transport (road, rail, light rail)
- Water and utilities
- Energy and renewables (onshore wind, solar, battery storage)
- Aviation
- Residential and mixed‑use development

About You
Essential
- Proven experience delivering and leading EIAs within the UK
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning and consenting process
- Background in environmental consultancy across infrastructure or development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Desirable
- Experience in renewables, water, or large‑scale infrastructure projects
- Chartered (or working towards chartership)
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting business development
