• Salary: £11,500 per session (depending on experience and responsibilities)
• Contract Type: GMS
• Indemnity: Provided through a group scheme with the MDU
• Holiday: 6 weeks per year, plus 1 week study leave

About

Patient List Size: 20,000 patients, predominantly elderly due to the area being a popular retirement location.

Team Size: 13 GPs, 6 nurses, 2 pharmacists, and other clinical support staff.

Building Facilities: Newly renovated, purpose‑built sites with modern infrastructure and on‑site parking across two locations.

Training Practice: Established training practice affiliated with Plymouth University, training GPs, medical students, nurses, paramedics, and overseas doctors.

Role Responsibilities

• Clinical work: each session involves ~16‑17 patient consultations (mix of face‑to‑face and telephone)
• Duty doctor: 1 in 4 rota, salaried GPs work a duty day per week
• Protected admin time is included with flexible workload management options

What They are Looking For

• GMC‑registered GP (or awaiting registration) with a passion for patient care
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to reducing GP burnout
• Full UK driving licence would be ideal (required for travel between clinics)
• Newly‑qualified GPs are welcome to apply
• Interest in innovative practices, including optional private work such as joint injections
