Founding Talent Partner
You will be the first dedicated talent hire, reporting directly to Pete, cofounder. You will help build the hiring function as we grow rapidly, hiring 20+ roles in the next 6‑12 months.

Healthtech-1 exists to unlock appointment access in the NHS. Right now hiring is one of the most important levers in the business.
The role
As the senior talent acquisition lead you will shape and operate a hiring function that attracts top talent across three streams: sourcing, candidate experience, and hiring manager experience. You will balance the art of persuasion with the science of process efficiency, ensuring multiple concurrent roles run smoothly.
Scope of the role
- Outbound strategy & sourcing
- End‑to‑end hiring process across all functions
- Market research and benchmarking
- Hiring manager relationships: kickoffs, weekly syncs, and candidate quality reporting
- Candidate experience from first contact to offer
- Employer brand touch points: posts, job descriptions, public presence
- Reporting and results
You will not own onboarding or content creation (these are handled by other teams).
Must haves
- 3+ years in fast‑paced recruitment agency and startup environments
- Full lifecycle recruitment expertise from attraction to onboarding
- Excellent communicator and storyteller; ability to engage talent at every touchpoint
- Operationally excellent: run 6+ roles concurrently, track funnel, know metrics, identify improvements
- Drive best experience for candidates and hiring managers
- Extensive hiring for software engineering roles; ability to hit the ground running
- Deep care for the mission to unlock NHS access
Nice to have
- Experience in health tech
- Experience beyond onboarding into broader people functions
- Experience using Ashby
- Interest in AI
Hiring process
- Intro chat – 20 minutes
- CV deep‑dive – 45 minutes
- Paid in‑office work trial – 6 hours
- Principles interview – 1 hour
