Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales - Grocery to join a well-established and respected food business that has been at the forefront of chilled and frozen food in Europe and are now looking to grow and expand in the UK. This is a pivotal appointment as the business continues its growth trajectory across major retailers. The Head of Sales - Grocery will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy and driving performance across a portfolio of national grocery accounts.

Responsibilities

• Leading the commercial strategy across key grocery accounts, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
• Building and maintaining senior-level relationships with category buyers and commercial directors across major retailers
• Driving revenue growth and market share gains through strategic account planning and execution
• Managing P&L performance, including trade investment, promotional strategy and margin management
• Collaborating with marketing, supply chain and operations to deliver seamless execution
• Leading negotiations on ranging, pricing and promotional activity
• Providing accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership

Ideal Candidate

The successful Head of Sales - Grocery will bring proven experience in FMCG sales leadership, ideally within chilled or frozen categories. A strong track record of managing major grocery accounts and delivering commercial results is essential. You'll be a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels. Experience working with ethnic or specialty food brands would be advantageous, though a solid understanding of the UK grocery landscape is key.
