General Manager – Responsibilities
A long‑established Leeds‑based print firm is searching for a General Manager to take day‑to‑day control of the business, overseeing sales, commercial, business development, production processes, supply chain, health & safety, and quality.
The General Manager will guide and direct each department, ensuring organisational goals are met. They will establish ambitious yet attainable goals to keep the company competitive and drive performance.
They will ensure effective operations by monitoring results, comparing actual performance to standards, and taking appropriate action to improve performance and profitability.
This role requires a self‑motivated, flexible, team‑player with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proven management ability.
The role is client‑facing and involves developing the firm’s reputation; candidates should have a background in sales or account management rather than production.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the printing industry.
- Background in sales or account management.
- Proven management ability and drive.
- Strong analytical skills and results‑driven approach.
- Excellent attention to detail, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of health & safety and quality standards.
