General Manager Distribution

Job description

A large wholesaler in food is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.

Responsibilities:

1. Maximize the weekly, monthly, and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, and ensuring effective operational performance.
2. Manage a diverse team to fulfill business requirements and prioritize effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
3. Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement.
4. Demonstrate effective communication with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
5. Maintain an ability to react to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule.
6. Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expected level as deemed by the contract with the customer.
7. Contribute to the broader commercial environment, taking responsibility for attracting new and additional business.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate caliber.
2. 5 years experience in a logistics management role.
3. Minimum 3 years logistics experience.
4. Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
5. IT literate.
6. CPC required.
