iRecruit4 is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a busy distribution team based in Swindon. We are looking for a reliable and professional driver's who has experience with retail deliveries and is looking for a straightforward, well-planned driving role.

This role involves mainly single-drop deliveries, with approximately 90% of shifts being just one delivery. On rare occasions, you may be required to complete a two-drop route, but this is not the usual daily workload.

• £17.60 per hour (accrued holiday)
• Or £19.70 per hour (holiday paid weekly)
• Monday to Friday
• AM starts between 08:00 and 11:00
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
• Weekly pay

Duties for HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Safely operating HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles
• Completing mainly single-drop retail deliveries
• Delivering palletised goods to stores and distribution locations
• Completing occasional two-drop routes when required
• Securing loads using straps and ensuring all freight is safely restrained before every journey
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Following all road transport and health & safety regulations

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
• A valid Driver CPC qualification
• A Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with retail deliveries, store deliveries, or distribution work is highly desirable
• Experience with customers such as B&Q, Aldi, Howard Tenens, or similar would be advantageous
• A reliable and professional attitude
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport regulations
