A leading Removals company in Leeds is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily removals operations, drive commercial growth, and lead high-performing removals team. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional with proven experience in the removals & relocation industry, particularly within household goods (HHG) services. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional removals services while ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and branch profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Leeds moving & removals branch
- Manage operational teams including drivers, removals operatives, co-ordinators, estimators, and warehouse staff
- Ensure all household goods (HHG) moving & removals projects are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Drive branch profitability through effective budgeting, cost control, and operational planning
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with private removals customers and key accounts
- Monitor KPIs, service standards, and operational performance across all moving & removals activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, transport legislation, and moving & removals industry best practice
- Coordinate fleet utilisation, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency
- Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue growth within the Leeds removals market
- Handle escalated customer service issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Recruit, train, mentor, and performance manage branch employees within removals operations
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy, process improvements, and service delivery enhancements
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous management experience within the moving, removals and relocation sector.
- Strong knowledge of household goods (HHG) removals operations
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional operational teams
- Excellent organisational, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational performance
- Knowledge of UK transport compliance, health and safety, and fleet operations preferred
