Job summaryThe Pharmacy Department are looking to recruit Apprentice Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians.
Pharmacy Technicians are vital members of todays healthcare team and contribute greatly in the supply of medicines and products to patients.
The training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship, which involves on the job training whilst you study to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians.
On completion of the apprenticeship programme and End Point Assessment (EPA), successful candidates will be able to apply for registration to practice as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Training and support will be provided by work based assessors and the training provider.
Main duties of the job
GCSEs:Maths C, English and Science (at C or above) and 3 other subjects at a minimum of grade C.
Or
Pharmacy Services QCF Level 2 or equivalent with 12 months current experience and holds a functional skills level 2 qualification in Maths and English (equivalent to C grade or 4).
Apprenticeship funding rules apply.

This is a2 year fixed termfull timecontract Monday to Friday, successful candidates will be expected to participate in weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.
Hours:37.5 hours per week
Salary: Year 1 70% of top scale of Band 4
Year 275% of top scale of Band 4
