About this RoleAs a JobCoach you will develop positive relationships with students, ensuring theprogramme helps to foster self-confidence, alongside social and employabilityskills, tailored to meet individual needs ensuring interns make successfultransitions into paid employment. You will maintain positive relationships withall stakeholders and create strong partnerships. You will play a crucial rolein ensuring high-quality service delivery, building strong relationships withemployers and external agencies, and ultimately, empowering your interns toachieve their career goals.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Job Coach will support all aspectsof the learner's journey on a Pre internship preparing them for the world ofwork, liaising with parents and carers and supporting the young person througheach stage of the programme.
• Plan and deliver high quality innovativeand engaging sessions and Employability workshops to ensure the interns widerunderstanding of the world of work is embedded throughout.
• Ensure interns gain confidence, feelsvalued and builds self-esteem as well as developing work-based skills.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and widercolleagues to set, monitor, review and record progress at all times for eachintern against personal, EHCP and work-based targets on LFT based systems asrequired.
• Develop wider independence skills forthe interns to ensure they can lead fulfilled lives e.g. travel training,banking and finance, social events and social groups, health and well-being andself-advocacy.
• Develop positive relationships with differentorganisations and support them to work successfully with each intern and helpthem build confidence in their interactions with interns.
• Maintain high aspirations andexpectations for every intern, providing the support, guidance, andopportunities needed to help each individual achieve positive outcomes andreach their full potential.
• Ensure students are safe at all timesthrough appropriate risk assessments and following safeguarding procedures andpolicies at all times.
• Uphold high standards of documentationand evidence, ensuring all records are compliant, well-organised, and reflectlearners' progress and achievements accurately.
• Liaise with external agencies andpartners as appropriate and in a professional manner.
• Professionally represent LFT atevents, conferences, exhibitions and meetings to contribute to the ongoingpositive reputation of the college
• Always have very high regard for theinterns, seeing their strengths and talents and be ambitious for their futures.
• Complete relevantpaperwork effectively and efficiently as possible throughout their internshipe.g. risk assessments, IPRA, PEEPs and support plans.
• Establish and maintain professionalrelationships with employers, external agencies and colleagues.
• Represent Pre Internships at events and meetingswhen required.
