About the Role:
We are currently seeking a SIPP Trainee Technician to join our Self Invested Pensions team, based in our vibrant Stirling office. XPS Self Invested Pensions is part of XPS Group. We manage relationships with thousands of clients and hundreds of professional financial advice firms. We are only as strong as the people we employ. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake technical checking and participate in monthly risk audit work.
- Proactively coach and develop staff and identifying training needs within the business line to ensure quality targets are met and to make certain that excellent customer service is provided by the business line.
- Co-ordinate and deliver training to the highest standard, proactively contribute to the development of training material.
- Assist in the maintenance of procedures, training notes and literature ensuring technical and FCA compliance.
- Assist with the identification and development of technical improvements. within the business line to mitigate risk and improve business line efficiency
- Assist Senior Technicians as required in providing technical support to the SIP business that enables the business to provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer service to the SIP clients and helps drive the business forward.
- Proactively provides constructive feedback to Team Managers in relation to staff to help reward and identify areas of improvement.
- Assist in technical or department project work as guided by Head of Technical and Senior Technicians.
- Help resolve complaints cases as directed by the Management Team.
- This list is not exhaustive, and you may be asked to undertake any additional tasks that could be reasonably expected of a Senior Technician when department needs necessitate.
Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile:
Essential:
- Previous detailed experience of administration of SSAS & SIPP business.
- Experience of dealing with technical issues on SSAS or SIPP contracts.
- Experience of training and coaching individuals.
- Understanding/experience of financial services in UK.
- Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative.
- Ability to enjoy juggling numerous and complex priorities daily, balancing 'important' with 'urgent'.
- Computer literate in the use of office systems e.g Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, database.
Desirable:
- FPC or ACII or equivalent.
- Experience of developing and documenting standard procedures / training notes.
